Yeah, okay, we American cruiser folk aren’t exactly renowned for our love of foreign products but Arai makes some of the best helmets on the planet. Arai has built a strong reputation as one of the world’s premier helmet manufacturers, and deservedly so. For 2018, Arai has introduced the Defiant-X as their answer for Cruiser and retro motorcycle riders looking for style but unwilling to give up any function.
The shell includes Arai’s Peripheral Belt Construction, which was inspired by their Formula 1 helmets. A one-piece, multi-density EPS liner has been optimized over decades of R&D for maximum protection. A new ventilation system includes an internal shutter mechanism in the chin vents and exhaust ducts behind the cheek pads. A MAX-Cavity shield and Pinlock insert come standard to prevent fogging. SNELL and DOT certified.
