Indian Motorcycle Hits Wheels and Waves This Week

Beach Blanket Bikers

This week, Indian Motorcycle has an appointment in Biarritz for the 8th edition of Wheels and Waves, returning as the official partner for the third year.
The must-see “lifestyle” festival, which last year welcomed 18,000 people, combines more and more magic – motorcycles, surfing, ride art and concerts, from the Basque coast to Spain from June 12 to 16 2019.
Indian Motorcycle will be, as in the previous three years, presenting many of the highlights of the event.

Motorcycles from the legendary brand will be on display at the ART RIDE, in particular, Appaloosa, ridden by legendary GP motorcycle rider Randy Mamola, which celebrates 100 years of Scouting.
The “FTR 1200 Artists Series”, a series of limited edition customized tank covers for the FTR 1200, will be revealed in the evening of June 13. The work of five renowned artists will be on display at the Indian Motorcycle stand in the Cité de l’Océan and a limited edition of 100 of each will be produced.
The official DTRA Hooligan will also compete in Flat Track competitions in El Rollo (San Sebastian / Spain). Official DTRA racers Leah Tokelove and Lee KP Kirkpatrick will race two S&S Cycle prepared FTR 1200H Hooligans – the first event for these machines.

The Wall of Death will be one of the main attractions of the Cité de l’Océan with nearly eight demonstrations a day on motorcycles from the 1930s.
Finally, on Saturday night, the name of the winner of the “Wheels and Waves” FTR 1200 prize draw will be revealed at the Cité de l’Océan in Biarritz. The lucky winner will receive their FTR 1200 on the festival stage.
